The update, which began rolling out on Monday, specifically targets the Face ID issue affecting the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. Despite some customers replacing their devices, reports of the problem continued. Alongside the Face ID fix, iOS 27.0.1 also addresses a color artifact that appeared in photos taken with the phone at 2x zoom and resolves a glitch that caused unresponsiveness when users opened the Notification Center and Control Center simultaneously.
To update your iPhone, open the Settings app, select General, and tap on Software Update. You will find iOS 27.0.1 available for download. If you are still on iOS 26, you may see the iOS 26.7 update, which only includes security patches for older models. Those who upgrade to iOS 27 will gain access to new features such as Siri AI and Liquid Glass enhancements.
