To promote device longevity, Xiaomi offers up to six years of security updates and battery health assurance across the series. The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is noted for its “six-year like-new software experience.”
Both models are recognized for their reliability, being the first smartphones to achieve the TÜV SÜD 5-star Titan Quality Certification, which emphasizes durability with tests on drop resistance, water resistance, and battery performance.
The series employs the REDMI Titan Structure for reinforced hardware, enhancing drop, dust, and water resistance. The Pro models hold IP66 and IP68 ratings and are equipped with a new Underwater Mode. Additional protection is provided through Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The 9,210mAh battery on the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G offers up to three days of usage, complemented by 100W HyperCharge technology, allowing a full day’s use with just 20 minutes of charging. The REDMI Note 17 Pro features an 8,340mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge capabilities.
Both smartphones utilize the REDMI Titan Battery System, which incorporates silicon-carbon technology for enhanced battery life and management, allowing for over 80% capacity retention after about 1,600 charge cycles, equating to roughly six years of usage.
The new design introduces a revised camera module, a flat display, rounded corners, and a dual-finish rear panel for user comfort. The Pro models showcase a 6.83-inch display boasting up to 3,599 nits of peak brightness and 1.5K resolution, alongside practical AI functions including an AI Creativity Assistant for photo editing and HyperAI for advanced assistance.
