Luke Delaney, a 47-year-old astronaut from Central Florida, and his three Crew-13 crewmates have entered quarantine in preparation for a planned launch on the Space Coast in early October. Delaney, who grew up in Volusia County and attended DeLand and Deltona high schools, is slated to pilot the mission. He was selected as part of NASA's 2021 astronaut class. The crew includes NASA astronaut and commander Jessica Watkins, along with rookie astronauts Joshua Kutryk from the Canadian Space Agency and Sergey Teteryatnikov representing Roscosmos. The team is set to travel to the International Space Station for a long-term stay.
