The new series includes the Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and the Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus. Key features of these processors include an increase of up to 900MHz in die-to-die frequency compared to previous models, such as the Ultra 7 285HX and Ultra 7 265HX. This increase in frequency enhances the speed of the CPU/memory controller link, improving system latency and gaming performance.

The introduction of the Intel Binary Optimization Tool represents a significant advancement in optimization technology, aiming to increase processor instructions per cycle (IPC) and overall user performance. This tool can optimize workloads initially designed for other x86 processors, game consoles, or older architectures, showcasing Intel's focus on long-term performance improvements.

Additionally, the processors support advanced connectivity options, including discrete Intel Wi-Fi 7, Intel Wireless Bluetooth 5.4, and Intel Thunderbolt 5. These features provide up to 80 Gbps bidirectional bandwidth, enabling rapid file transfers, 8K media streaming, device charging, and connecting multiple accessories.

OEMs will begin offering these new processors today, with broader availability expected throughout the year.
