The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will ship with iOS 27 versions 24A427 or 24A428. However, the official launch version of iOS 27 is version 24A437, meaning users can expect a software update during the setup process.
Similarly, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 will come with watchOS 27 version 24R359, while the launch version of watchOS 27 is 24R364.
AirPods 5 are also expected to receive a day one firmware update, delivered over the air. Recently, Apple released the 9A350 AirPods firmware to add compatibility with iOS 27 features.
All of these new products are set to launch on Friday, September 18.
