In Photos, new capabilities such as Spatial Reframing, Extend, and an upgraded Clean Up tool give users more editing options while maintaining the integrity of the original images. Safari gains features powered by Apple Intelligence, including automatic organization of tabs into topics, notifications for website changes, and the ability to create custom extensions based on user descriptions. Additionally, a new Call Context feature provides relevant information, such as confirmation codes during business calls.

Performance improvements include faster app launches on iPhone and iPad—up to 30 percent quicker—and significantly faster loading times for photos and AirDrop transfers. File browsing and transfers to external USB drives on iPad are now up to five times quicker. While some features may vary by region and language, Siri AI will roll out in beta for English first, with additional languages such as French and Japanese expected in October. Users in the EU will have access to Siri AI on Mac and Apple Vision Pro, though it will not be available for iOS, iPadOS, or watchOS initially. In China, Siri AI features are on hold pending regulatory approval.
