At CES 2026, Intel introduced the Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors, marking the first platform built on the Intel 18A process technology, the most advanced semiconductor process developed in the United States. For the first time, the Series 3 processors are also certified for embedded and industrial applications, including use in robotics, smart cities, automation, and healthcare. This positions Intel to meet demands in edge computing with enhancements in efficiency and performance.

Jim Johnson, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Client Computing Group, stated, "With Series 3, we are laser-focused on improving power efficiency, adding more CPU performance, a bigger GPU in a class of its own, more AI compute and app compatibility you can count on with x86."

The Series 3 mobile lineup includes new Intel Core Ultra X9 and X7 processors, featuring integrated Intel® Arc™ graphics. These processors, designed for multitasking across gaming, creativity, and productivity, can include up to 16 CPU cores and 12 Xe-cores, offering significant improvements in multithread performance and gaming speed, as well as extended battery life of up to 27 hours.

Pre-orders for consumer laptops utilizing the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors will begin on January 6, 2026, with availability starting on January 27, 2026. Edge systems powered by the Series 3 are expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026.
