The Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus reportedly offers up to 8% improved gaming performance and a 7% increase in single-threaded performance compared to its predecessor, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX. Users upgrading from older devices could experience up to 62% faster gaming performance and 30% improved single-thread performance compared to the Intel Core i9-12900HX. Notable specifications include an up to 900MHz boost in die-to-die frequency, which enhances the CPU/memory controller link speed and reduces system latency.
