Samsung typically releases security updates on a monthly, quarterly, or biannual basis, depending on the device. Flagship models will soon receive the June 2026 security patch. This includes the Galaxy Z TriFold, Z Fold series (from Z Fold4 to Z Fold7 Special Edition), Z Flip series (from Z Flip4 to Z Flip7 FE), and many others such as the W23 and W24 models. Additionally, all models in the Galaxy S26, S25, S24, and S23 series, including their FE and Edge variants, are also included in this rollout.
Certain enterprise models eligible for monthly updates include the Galaxy A54, A55, A56, A57, XCover6 Pro, XCover7, XCover7 Pro, and Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro. Users of these devices are encouraged to install the latest software updates.
This update addresses 45 vulnerabilities, including 33 classified as "high" or "critical" severity, according to Samsung's patch notes. Most vulnerabilities have been publicly disclosed and are addressed through patches from both Samsung and Google. The update also includes fixes related to Samsung's own services, particularly those within the Galaxy Editing Service.
To check for updates, users can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install and select "Check for updates." Keeping the software up to date is crucial for safeguarding personal data.
