Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra Achieve Top Rankings in European Foldable Phone Tests

Samsung Electronics Co.’s Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra have been recognized as leading foldable smartphones in consumer tests across five major European markets, according to industry sources reported on Sunday. The devices ranked first or second in evaluations conducted by consumer publications in Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

In the Netherlands and Belgium, both models secured the top position, while in Italy, Spain, and Portugal, the Fold8 led the rankings with 81 points, closely followed by the Fold8 Ultra with 80 points. The assessments were performed by various consumer organizations: Altroconsumo in Italy, OCU in Spain, Deco Proteste in Portugal, Consumentenbond in the Netherlands, and Test Achats in Belgium.

These organizations evaluate products based on performance, durability, and usability in their labs. Both the Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra received the “Best of Test” designation in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Belgium, highlighting them as top-scorers.

In addition to their success in Europe, the Galaxy Z8 series also performed well in assessments by U.S. publication Consumer Reports, where the Fold8 Ultra ranked first and both the Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 were acknowledged among the top performers.

Samsung plans to leverage these positive evaluations to bolster its premium foldable smartphone business in the United States and key European markets, as suggested by industry sources.
